The majority of cars on the road around the world are equipped with a disc braking system. When the vehicle's brakes are applied, the pads come into contact with the disc and friction between the pads and the disc creates a brake torque that slows the vehicle down. Whenever the vehicle slows down, abrasion of the brake pads causes the emission of fine particles that are extremely harmful to health. Recent scientific studies have shown that fine particle emissions during braking are six times higher than exhaust emissions from a catalytic converter.
In Europe, these particle emissions during braking amount to almost 110,000 metric tons/year, 50,000 tons of which are distilled in the air.

Tallano technologie is a pioneer in this field. Particles are emitted during braking. When these particles are present between the disc and the pad, they enable adjustment of the speed between a fixed part (the pad) and a moving part (the disc). Without these particles, braking would be ineffective. However, after a short time, the particles are released and left suspended in the air. We soon realised that the only solution was to trap the particles at source by suction. This led to the tamic® concept, with suction being created by a miniature turbine.
Over time and with use, the wheel rims of your vehicle gradually become black as they are covered with a fine layer of dust particles. This blackish film becomes encrusted in the recesses of your wheel rims, adversely affecting their aesthetic qualities. This accumulation of dust is due to repeated braking: friction between the pads and the disc causes the emission of particles primarily composed of carbon and metal oxides..
The use of tamic® technology leads to a 90% reduction in brake particle emissions, thereby helping you keep your wheel rims clean in all conditions.
During braking, be it gradual or sudden, abrasion of the brake pads in contact with the discs sends a cloud of particles that are damaging to both health and the environment into the air.
In every major city around the world, the concentration of fine particles in the atmosphere is reaching worrying proportions, representing a danger to human health and the environment.
By equipping vehicles with tamic®, these particle emissions can be reduced substantially, making the air you breathe cleaner.
All vehicles emit fine particles into the air during braking. The particle capture solution developed by tallano technologie® is modular and adaptable so that it can ultimately be fitted to all types of vehicles, from private cars to public transport vehicles.
